Who we are
Front Step Media is the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about it at enquiries@frontstepmedia.co.uk.
If you request a catchment preview
We collect your name, business name, website, premises postcode(s) and work email. We use them to prepare your preview, send it to you and reply to you about our services.
Our lawful basis is your request (steps taken before a possible contract) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
If we've emailed you about our services
We contact people at businesses who we think could benefit from our services. We get business contact details (name, job title, work email and company information) from business data providers and public sources, and we check that email addresses are valid before we use them.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in telling businesses about relevant services. We only use work email addresses. Reply to any email and ask, and we'll stop contacting you and record that you've opted out.
Who we share data with
- Our website host, Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to serve and protect the site.
- Supabase, which stores form submissions for us.
- Microsoft, which provides our email and delivers preview requests to our inbox.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the site's fonts and receives your IP address when the page loads.
- The data provider, verification and email-sending services we use for business outreach.
We don't sell personal data. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law.
How long we keep it
We keep your details only for as long as we need them to answer your request and follow up on it, and delete them once they're no longer needed, unless you become a client. If you opt out, we keep a minimal record so we don't contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or restrict its use. Email us at the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
